Born in Long Beach, CA, Maximus “Max” Jupiter Corona is the younger of 2 boys in the Corona House. Max began volunteering with his Mom at Food Finders (foodfinders.org), where he helped pick up and deliver food donations to women and children shelters in the community. He assisted his older brother with his non-profit Love in the Mirror for several years. After attending a youth empowerment workshop hosted by Love in the Mirror, he decided he wanted to do more for the ocean and its’ inhabitants. He began Ocean Max. through Ocean Max, he visited local schools and spoke to young students about how their trash can end up in the ocean through the storm drains. He also showed them how to use recycled items from their house to create art projects. In January, 2014, he hosted his first Beach Clean-up in partnership with the California Coastal Commission and the Parks, Recreation and Marine Department of the City of Long Beach.  Max loves making stop motion movies, swimming and is a vegetarian. He wants to be a film director when he grows up.
