“Whatever you are, be a good one.” Abraham Lincoln
Jonas began volunteering at the age of 4 in downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row. 2 years later, he decided to take it one step further and start his own organization to benefit homeless youth. Since then, the organization has provided over 45,000 people with basic necessities like food, clothing and hygiene items. He has organized drives, picked up donations and inspired thousands of people. Along with attending school and running a non-profit organization, Jonas spends the rest of his time playing tennis. He believes everyone can make a difference no matter how old they are.

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened” Dr. Seuss
Maximus Corona was born in Long Beach, CA and has been volunteering since the age of 4 when he began helping his mom pickup and deliver food to a women’s shelter for a local food bank. After attending Love in the Mirror’s 1st G.I.V.E. Youth Empowerment Workshop, he became inspired and decided he wanted to help out more. Out of his love for the ocean, he founded Ocean Maximus to help address the issue of trash in the ocean. Along with speaking to students at local schools about how trash ends up in the ocean, he adopted a local beach. Since 2014, he has organized 7 beach clean-ups in his hometown of Long Beach, CA. Volunteers of all ages join Maximus to help pick up trash at the beach. On average, there are 15-20 volunteers at each event who help pick up trash. When Maximus is not organizing beach clean-ups, he works with Love in the Mirror doing research, donation sorting, delivery and event planning. He also sits on their Youth Advisory Board. Maximus has volunteered over 800 hours since the age of 4. In his spare time, he loves listening to music, cooking, acting, coding and everything space related.
